“Laundry rooms are kind of a buffer from the outside to the inside, and so the surfaces really need to be hardworking surfaces,” says Victoria Maxwell, senior vice president of showroom and client services at Boulder’s Design Studio Interior Solutions. “They need to be easy to clean, with things that can really function in our sometimes-harsh climate.” Candace Donnell, senior vice president of design, worked with the homeowner to develop the room’s character.
